What if you heard someone burn to death over the phone?

Not a pleasant idea, is it? Even less pleasant for these 911 Operators who had to deal with the victims of Australia's recent horrible bushfires.

Emergency operators listened to terrified Australians "dying over the phone" at the height of the wildfire horror.

More than 4,200 phone calls were made to emergency services dispatch centers as victims across the state pleaded for help.

There are now 181 confirmed casualties of this inferno that tore through a large part of Australia in recent days. All because of drought, a few lightening strikes, and a few wretched arsonists.

How horrible for the operators who had to deal with dying people over the phone. How many 'it's gonna be OK' ... weren't?
