So respecting another religion means you adher to it?

That seems to be what Frank Gaffney from the Moonie Times is saying with regards to President Obama's recent and widely-acclaimed speech address in Cairo on Thursday. Because, apparently, him saying he's a Christian, his friends and family saying he's a Christian, and the records detailing him as living according to the Christian faith – those don't count for anything, 'cuz he's a Muslim. 'Cuz Gaffney says so.

With Mr. Obama's unbelievably ballyhooed address in Cairo Thursday to what he calls "the Muslim world" (hereafter known as "the Speech"), there is mounting evidence that the president not only identifies with Muslims, but actually may still be one himself.

He then gives three main "indicators" that, in Gaffney's mind, hint at Obama being a closeted Muslim:

that Obama referred to the sacred Islamic book as "the Holy Koran", which Gaffney asserts is an "Islamic formulation" that no True Christian^TM would use (even though Obama obviously needs to kiss some serious ass to make this work with "the Muslim world");

that Obama has "firsthand knowledge" of Islam, and apparently knows it so well, he could only be a Muslim (what, so he can't have read up on a subject before giving a discourse about it?); and

that Obama was too respectful towards Islam's prophets (Moses, Jesus and Muhammad), or something, and that is supposedly something "no believing Christian" would ever state, as Christians are supposed to only venerate Jesus, and that showing such respect to other "false" prophets (in Christianity's eyes) is ... well, un-Christian, apparently.

All ridiculous assumptions to make, of course, and even more ridiculous (entering the realms of "painfully ludicrous") is the conclusion that Obama is a Muslim. Aie.

But then, what more proof do you need when Obama aligns himself with followers of the Shariah (in Gaffney's view)?

In the final analysis, it may be beside the point whether Mr. Obama actually is a Muslim. In the Speech and elsewhere, he has aligned himself with adherents to what authoritative Islam calls Shariah -- notably, the dangerous global movement known as the Muslim Brotherhood -- to a degree that makes Mr. Clinton's fabled affinity for blacks pale by comparison.

So the fact that Obama had to kiss some Shariah-following ass to put them on his (and therefore, America's) good side for once – what, means he's gonna follow Shariah Law, too? What a tool.
