It's fairly easy to predict what wingnuts and foolish Conservatives will read into this and what they'll make out of it. C'mon, take a guess.
I've said before that one of the great strengths of the United States is, although as I mentioned we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.
All very true and commendable on the surface (and below as well), of course ... But imagine the possibilities: 'Obama hates Christianity' ... 'Obama doesn't believe in God' ... 'Obama = ANTICHRIST?' ...
Don't laugh, I guarantee we'll have something like that in a very short time. Just wait.
