Ray Comfort compares abortion to Jew-killing Nazis

The man really is profound in his capacity for illogic and plain stupidity. He's now comparing "a woman killing her child in the womb" (ie., abortion) to Nazis gunning down those subhuman Jews and piling them in pits. Yes, Ray, that totally has everything to do with it. *Rolls eyes*

The Bible is consistent when it refers to a pregnant woman as being "with child." It doesn't say "with fetus" nor does it redefine a child in the womb as a "blastocyte."

So the next time you advocate the murder of an innocent human being because of your redefinition of life, feel free to wash your hands (as Pontius Pilate did) in water. It won’t change a thing.

Poor Comfort. Poor stupid, deranged Comfort. First of all, there's no "redefining" anything when referring to a developing embryo as a blastocyte. That's what it's actually called. He can call it another term if he likes, but there's no "redefinition" going on. The term "child" does not fit to every developmental stage, you know. (Wait – of course he doesn't.) The Bible doesn't term it as "with fetus" or "with embryo" because they simply didn't have that terminology or knowledge back then. Sheesh.

Leave it to the dumbest man alive to compare a woman terminating a pregnancy either because it's dangerous or because she simply cannot be a mother and is unwilling to sacrifice nine long months for a child she cannot keep, and bloodthirsty monsters gunning down innocent men, women and children to try and purify the species. Stepping up to the plate amidst the storm

Dr. Leroy Carhart, a Nebraskan abortion provider, has decided to start offering late-term abortion services in order to replace the services lost when Dr. George Tiller was murdered now 12 days ago. We have a very brave man here, folks, if he's willing to rise to the occasion knowing how well anti-abortionists have been conducting themselves these days.

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue abortion provider Dr. Leroy Carhart said he will begin training his staff to perform late-term abortions.

Until now, Carhart had performed late-term abortions only at Dr. George Tiller's clinic in Wichita, Kan.

However, not everyone's happy with his risky decision. Just take Nebraska's own Attorney General Jon Bruning, for example. Look at what sweet words he has to say about Dr. Carhart's bravery.

"I'm disgusted and I'm saddened, and I hate it that he's here in Nebraska and I hate it that he's in America. I mean, this guy is one sick individual."

Right. How dare he offer crucial services to desperate women amidst all the nutters like you who would just like to see him shot and thrown in a river. The gall.

Another pathetic anti-abortionist sensationalist attempt

Granted, this is an old video (late 2006, to be precise), but it still highlights a reality that's very much present in these days as well. It's a young woman who appeared on The O'Reilly Factor with the supposedly heart-wrenching story of her abortion at the hands of Dr. George Tiller. After hearing this interview, you'll likely understand why I'm feeling absolutely no empathy for her and her miserable little mishap. (And do forgive me for the horrible audio quality and scratchiness; it's the only one I could find.)

Okay. First of all: she was knocked up at thirteen years old, and only brought up her desire for having an abortion after passing 20 weeks of pregnancy? Forgive me for not crying crocodile tears here, but if you wait five freakin months before finally deciding to have the pregnancy terminated, then really, it's your damned fault if you don't like the results of a late-term abortion for waiting so damn long in the first place. Make up your damn mind.

Then, she comments on how, "on the third or fourth day" (of the five-day late-term abortion process during which the cervix is slowly dilated to allow the fetus to pass through), a doctor (later acknowledged as Dr. Tiller himself) injected her with a solution that "suffocated and burned [her] baby to death". Notice the typical heartstrings-tugging phrasing there. It's ridiculous. The infant does not feel pain or fear or torment of any kind, and it is not suffocated (and much less burned) to death. It's simply a solution that stops its heart, quickly and painlessly. The fetus knows nothing about what happened; its life just ends, with neither a bang nor a whimper, but in ignominious silence.

She then proceeds to complain and whine about it's all "very graphic" and disturbing and whatnot. I'm sorry if your little child's eyes were offended, but – *ahem* – if you AGREED TO IT, it means you knew what was coming. Don't play that "but I didn't know!" bullshit, especially to those who know how to recognize said bullshit. And – especially – don't fucking lie about "not knowing what was gonna happen". That is a purely baldfaced lie. You knew every fucking step of the way. It's called "informed consent", and it's 100% guaranteed you were briefed on everything that was going to happen to you. Not doing so would've been totally illegal to begin with, so it's a certainty that you knew exactly what was going to happen before you went in. Don't try to create a reaction when we knew what was to happen as well as you did. Dishonest fool.

Not to mention that, of course, seeing as you did know what was to happen, the fact that you agreed to it, and proceeded with it, further voids your right to be all crying and bitching about it. You knew it was coming. If you didn't like it, you shouldn't have gone through with it. You could've walked away at any time without intervention.

"It's important to know that this is going on in our country". Yes, it is indeed important. Women need to know they have a chance at terminating their unwanted and dangerous pregnancies instead of suffering through it with the very real risk of serious or permanent physical or psychological trauma.

But I suppose that's now how she meant it, right? No, she meant that it's important that women know they can sign up for a relatively low-cost abortion, be guided through the whole process with care and compassion and understanding and support, go through it completely painlessly, be fully aware of what's to happen as to avoid surprises or shocks, whilst of course retaining the full right to end the procedure at any point in time should they change their minds. Right ... 'cause that's bad.

And then, the most memorable (and, to me, pathetically disingenuous) part of all: when O'Reilly asks her what happened to her afterwards, she goes on and on about how she was "traumatized", and how she became "promiscuous", fell into drugs, was depressed, had very low self-esteem, etc, etc.

... Is it really cruel of me if I laugh in derisory irony at this point? Not to be cruel – I'm not laughing at her having been depressed or addicted to drugs, or slutty, or even "traumatized" (not that I believe that last one though) – but rather, at the implication that it was the abortion that caused all that. First of all: if she fell pregnant at 13 years old, I think it's safe to assume she was already well along down that path. The abortion really didn't count for much at all.

Second, numerous studies have shown that most women having undergone abortions actually have very few negative psychological (and/or psychosomatic) effects following the procedure, especially long-term. Many do feel some amount of guilt or numbness, but that's just due to the fact that "it's finally over", and they generally rebound quite quickly. Of course, "Kelly" could be in the small percentile of women who do suffer psychological setbacks, but it's fairly unlikely. So all in all: unless further evidence is uncovered, this was, again, a disingenuous lie about abortion "traumatizing" her. Especially since – once again – she knew perfectly well what she was getting herself into.

So all in all: yet another dishonest attempt by an idiot to smear abortions, and particularly, the late Dr. George Tiller (rest in peace).

But then, what else can you expect from anything that's broadcast on the Fox News channel?

Tiller's abortion clinic: soon the home of anti-abortionists?

Once more displaying their curious affinity with parasites and overall slimy creatures, anti-abortionists are now saying they'd love to purchase the abortion clinic that used to be Dr. George Tiller's until his murder, and which was shut down forever by his family. Troy Newman, current president of "pro-life" group Operation Rescue, stated he would want to buy the clinic in an effort to expand his group, ensuring an even better offensive against women's reproductive rights.

TOPEKA, Kansas (AP) — The group that tried for years to put slain abortion provider Dr. George Tiller out of business is interested in buying his now-closed clinic, its president said.

But Tiller attorney Dan Monnat wouldn't discuss the idea, saying, "I'm just not going to respond to every irreverent publicity stunt or comment by these extremists."

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman said that his group has discussed the idea of buying the tan, windowless clinic. He made the comment after the Tiller family announced that the clinic would be closed permanently.

"I would love to make an offer on that abortion clinic, and that's some of the discussion that we're having," Newman said in a telephone interview Tuesday from his group's headquarters.

Tiller was shot May 31 while serving as an usher at his church. Scott Roeder, 51, resident, has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault.

The clinic building and the land upon which it sits were appraised this year at $734,100 for tax purposes, according to county records available online. Those records show that Tiller and the clinic owned an additional $51,600 in personal property. The owner of the building and property is listed as J & G Enterprises, formed in 1993. Tiller's widow, Jeanne, is named as the resident agent, or the person who would receive legal papers.

Newman's group bought another former abortion clinic in 2006 for its headquarters, but he said the group needs to expand. "We need a bigger office," he said.

"We would love to see that place established as a center for life, one that nurtures and cares for babies, rather than taking their lives," Newman said of Tiller's former clinic.

Still going on about "taking babies' lives", I see. Do these guys even have the brains go buy a dictionary now and then and look up that term they use so much? I wasn't aware an ignominious, misshapen blob of cells fit the criteria of a "baby". I also wasn't aware why it's so freakin' wrong or immoral to terminate a late-term pregnancy if the child poses an actual credible risk to the woman, physically or mentally – which is a requirement for a late-term abortion, anyway. It's not like women just waltz in and go "Yo, Doc, gimme an abortion, will ya?". Even if anti-aborts seem to think it is.

Anyway ... Can't say this wasn't predictable at any rate. The act of taking over your enemy's stronghold once you've defeated them is as old as humanity itself. Consider this a low-level territory victory for abortion foes.

The status of the war for abortion rights

It's rather obvious that the pro-choice side has lost a great ally and a large part of itself with the murder of Dr. George Tiller, arguably the man at the forefront of the abortion debate raging in the U.S. However, yet another grievous blow has been struck, though it's of a related manner: Dr. Tiller's abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas is closing its doors forever, killing one of the few remaining symbols in the pro-choice movement.

WICHITA, Kan. — George Tiller's slaying has accomplished what anti-abortion activists had tried to do for decades: The doors to his Kansas clinic will shut forever. The announcement Tuesday from Tiller's family was a tainted victory for the nation's anti-abortion movement. For years, it made Tiller the focus of protests, legislation and legal attacks.

Operations at Women's Health Care Services Inc. were suspended following Tiller's death last month. In a statement released by his attorneys, Tiller's family said relatives had chosen to honor him with charitable activities instead of reopening the clinic.

"We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women's health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service," the family said in the statement. They did not elaborate on their reasoning to close.

Tiller, who had said women with access to prenatal testing needed options in case those tests uncovered severe fetal abnormalities, was shot to death May 31 while serving as an usher at his Lutheran church. Prosecutors have charged abortion opponent Scott Roeder, 51, with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in Tiller's death.

It's a very sad day indeed. I wish his family would reconsider – I'm certain he would've wanted someone else brave (or reckless) enough to take his place at the clinic, but it's their decision after all, being next of kin. It's nonetheless a terrible loss and a damaging blow to the pro-choice movement.

Murderous nut says anti-abortion violence is not over

Scott Roeder, the murderer of Dr. George Tiller, is now in jail, thank God, awaiting his very well-deserved punishment. (Hell, beat him with a tire iron for all I care.) However, he let slip something I do believe we should call attention to.

WICHITA, Kan. – The man charged with murdering a high-profile abortion doctor claimed from his jail cell Sunday that similar violence was planned around the nation for as long as the procedure remained legal, a threat that comes days after a federal investigation launched into his possible accomplices.

A Justice Department spokesman said the threat was being taken seriously and additional protection had been ordered for abortion clinics last week. But a leader of the anti-abortion movement derided the accused shooter as "a fruit and a lunatic."

Scott Roeder called The Associated Press from the Sedgwick County jail, where he's being held on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the shooting of Dr. George Tiller one week ago.

"I know there are many other similar events planned around the country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder said. He would not elaborate.

Of course the murder of one innocent life-saving abortion provider wouldn't be enough for these lunatics (and this one in particular).

Thankfully clinics around the country have undergone an upgrade in security following this threat, but still ... Dr. Tiller wasn't anywhere near his clinic when he was murdered, he was at a church. You'd need to assign a plethora of bodyguards to all abortion providers in the country to assure their safety from these anti-abortionist extremists ... Lord knows how that's likely to happen.

God, sometimes I wish there was a Hell just so I'd have the comfort of knowing psychopathic lunatics like Roeder would rot in it forever. Meanwhile, all we can do is cross our fingers that law enforcement officials will actually do their fucking jobs – something that, if they had, would've easily prevented Dr. Tiller's death only a week or so ago, as Roeder would've been in jail by then, had the FACE Act been enforced.

What the fuck were you waiting for!?

Law enforcement laziness, corruption and overall incompetency has always been a very great bane of mine. For Christ's sake, these are the men and women who are supposed to be protecting us and defending the law; why don't they get a freakin' clue and learn to do it efficiently and actually prevent crimes and vile acts from being committed, rather than only ever punishing those who perpetrate them – after the deed has been done?

You may or may not be aware of the FACE Act. Basically put, it's a response to the incredible amounts of violence, hostility and, at times, plain terrorism that's aimed at abortion clinics around America compared to other health clinics. It basically states that any acts of vandalism, destruction or violence is automatically a federal crime.

About FACE

The federal FACE law is designed to protect both those providing and those receiving reproductive health care services. It forbids the use of "force, threat of force or physical obstruction" to prevent someone from providing or receiving reproductive health services. The law also provides for both criminal and civil penalties for those who break the law. More (PDF file, 48K)

Ie. if you're caught breaking windows, or gluing doors shut, or spray painting, or anything at all that isn't in the clinic's best interest, you're going to jail, illico presto.

The problem is ... if only this act had been dutifully enforced by law enforcement officers, there would be considerably less damages and violence done to abortion clinics these days ... and it also means Dr. George Tiller, murdered a few days ago, would very likely still be alive, as Scott Roeder, the deranged nutjob behind Dr. Tiller's murder and countless other acts of violence and vandalism towards abortion clinics over the years, would have been behind bars by then.

Well, first of all, that definitely clears up the anti-aborts' constant complaining about being persecuted when Roeder supposedly had no link to any groups or organizations, when evidence clearly shows he certainly was affiliated, to a degree, with Operation Rescue's head of affairs, that fat lying bitch Cheryl Sullenger. (Sorry ... couldn't resist. WAY too easy a target.) She is, after all, the woman who gave Roeder Tiller's personal information, such as his home address and phone number – information which was actually freely available on the Operation Rescue website prior to his murder. Yeah, they never saw it coming. Please.

He would call and say, 'When does court start? When’s the next hearing?'" Sullenger said. "I was polite enough to give him the information. I had no reason not to. Who knew? Who knew, you know what I mean?

Maybe the fact that he was a deranged nutcase with a long laborious history of breaking federal laws, vandalizing abortion clinics and with a criminal record holding more offenses than most folks can count, might've tipped you off that he might not have been a good individual to whom reveal personal information about Dr. Tiller's whereabouts. But then, Sullenger had also been thrown in jail for attempting to bomb an abortion clinic years ago, so I don't suppose she could feel all that bad anyway. He merely accomplished what she failed to do, obviously.

So basically, Roeder had been committing acts of vandalism and destruction on abortion clinics for over 9 years by the time of Dr. Tiller's murder, the FBI had been fed all the evidence they could possibly need: photos, license plate numbers, eyewitness accounts, and more reports than they can handle, and they still never acted?

Basically: hello? What the fuck were you waiting for!? It had to take a murder and a body for you to finally get off your damned asses and stop this lunatic?

I know I've already covered this ... but I can't help it

Just yesterday I wrote a long post about the hypocrisy of so-called "pro-lifers" and how their preference for living really only comes down to those who they agree with. Of course, one of the more fervent (and downright rabid) of these heartless ghouls has to be Gingi Edmonds, who I've already covered as she pretty much pointed and yelled "Told ya so!" when a plane crash took the lives of the children and grandchildren of a doctor who happened to be an abortionist. Really, it's hard to invent someone with less compassion, and humanity at all, than this bitch. ('Cause there are no other words that fit her as well.)

One of the most abuzz subjects of late is of course the murder of Dr. George Tiller, who gained much notoriety as being one of the very few (3?) late-term abortion-enablers in the US. It's sparked a firestorm that seems destined to crush the anti-abortionist movement (we can always hope, I suppose), and much of the anti-abortionist reaction to his murder has been nothing short of ... hell, I can't imagine a word that truly does justice to how downright disgusting these abject excuses for human beings are. Anyway, back to Edmonds. She's recently posted up a lengthy entry concerning "GEORGE TILLER THE BABY KILLER" (how classy and eloquent), which I also covered in my response to the anti-aborts' reaction to this whole affair. However, I really feel like I didn't do it justice. It was late at night and my vocabulary had basically dribbled down to "stupid idiot", and I feel like I can do so much better and more eloquently now. So, I will.

This is gonna be a very long post: I've posted all the bits and excerpts that stand out from her mindless diatribe, and there are quite a few.

(And I would also point out that anyone who is the slightest bit sensitive about this sort of utter heartlessness and amorality, should turn away now.)

In addition to being a hit man for hire, Tiller also offered funerary services to mothers that paid him to off their kids. While most clinics in the nation are content to just rape and scrape, Tiller took his practice leaps and bounds beyond the norm and peddled abortion packages that included photographing, footprinting, handprinting, baptism, cremation, and arrangement for autopsy.

A "hitman for hire". Interesting (albeit totally meaningless) comparison. Also note her language in how she states that Dr. Tiller would "off their kids". Nevermind that these are unborn fetuses, which don't even count as "babies" yet (even if they're colliqually referred to as such).

It's also interesting how she'd be supposedly surprised or shocked at how Dr. Tiller offered mourning or remembrance services for the bygone fetuses. She's obviously unable to comprehend that even if these mothers-to-have-been realized they would be unable to cope with children, they still felt attached to the infants when they made the exceedingly hard decision to end their unborn lives. Maternal instincts kick in long before the child is even born; although they intellectually realize it just can't realistically happen for them at that point and time in their lives, it's still often one of the hardest decisions they can ever make.

George Tiller personally killed more babies than America lost soldiers in Vietnam. Although he specialized in killing handicapped children, most of his tiny victims were late term, fully-formed, healthy, and viable outside the womb. He performed an average of roughly seven post-viable abortions per week and has admitted on tape to aborting babies a day before the mother's due date.

And now she starts her long-winded plethora of unfounded and unverifiable (and unverified) statistics and numbers. I'd really be interested in knowing how many infants Dr. Tiller terminated, yet somehow I seriously doubt that number is even a significant fraction of the more than 59,000 American soldiers who lost their lives in that pointless war. Unless she's just hyperboling, of course, though something tell me she honestly isn't.

Then, she moves on saying he "specialized in killing handicapped children". I'd love to know what the hell she even means by that. I didn't know you could tell unborn, pre-term fetuses were blind, deaf, physically disabled, mentally retarded, or anything of the sort. But then, why not a few extra lies and exaggerations to further villify the man once she's already started on this screed? In for a penny, in for a pound, I guess.

She then brings up that old (and tired) pro-life excuse: most of the fetuses (I really need to make sure I don't call them "babies", seeing as they simply aren't) were viable outside the womb. This, albeit mostly true, is simply irrelevent for two reasons. First, it's not Dr. Tiller's choice to terminate a baby that could survive, it's the mother-to-be's. If she decides to terminate the pregnancy instead of undergoing labour, it's her fault, not the doctor who simply abides by her wishes as per his job requirements. And second – again, it's not about the infant. It's about the woman, and her inherent, basic right to do whatever the hell she wants to her body, and anything that lives in and of it.

Despite his radical dealings in abortion extremism for over 35 years, Tiller has been met with physical violence only three times in his career of mass baby slaughter. His clinic was bombed in 1985. On August 19, 1993 he was shot in both arms outside of his Wichita clinic. And on May 31, 2009 Tiller was shot to death as he served as an usher during church services.

What a heartless bitch. So, the fact that he's "only" been met with violence three times in his career (which is a lie; more below) ... what, lessens the pain and suffering he went through? Or is she just comparing him being shot and bombed (and later, murdered in cold blood) to the "babies he assassinated"?

As I mentioned above, he's most certainly not been attacked only three times. Those are the more extreme cases, perhaps, but he's actually quite often been attacked, directly and indirectly, both in his clinic and even at his home. I'm not sure anyone can even count the number of times his Wichita clinic has been vandalized, which, for the record, I certainly do count as an "attack". If breaking windows and defacing his place of work isn't attacking him (indirectly), I wonder what is.

And – of course – do note how she completely skips over the fact that – um – he was attacked violently a number of times. No remorse, no shame, no nothing other than a "so what?" attitude.

Murder is murder, and it is something that we pro-lifers inherently deplore. But I can't help but note - and my history is rusty so pardon me here - I'm trying to remember, did anyone mourn Lee Harvey Oswald when Jack Ruby gunned him down? Or better yet, did anyone mourn the deaths of Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer, or any other mass murderer for that matter? Even according to the harebrained pro-choice life-at-viability reckoning, Tiller was indisputably a mass murderer who was executed in a fashion far more humane than the tens of thousands of children that he mutilated and left to die in cuddle session bassinets.

Holy fucking hell. Is there anything in there that isn't simply downright insane?

First, the notion that she (and others of her ilk) deplore murder. Yes, you're clearly all wracked with grief and torment at the loss of this fellow human being. Other than the cheering, that is. Deplore murder, my fucking ass.

Second, and most troubling of all, is how she so easily and shamelessly compares Dr. Tiller, who devoted his life to providing critical services to desperate women who had nowhere else to turn to despite the years and years of unbearable public pressure to shut down, even amidst all the violence aimed at him and his kind, to the likes of Lee Harvey Oswald (who assassinated President Kennedy), Ted Bundy (brilliant psychopath linked to 35 confirmed murders, though the number could be even higher than a hundred), and Jeffrey Dahmer (horrid murderer of 17 men and young boys), some of the worst murderers of our age. Yes, in her mind, terminating pregnancies and murdering dozens of innocents ... Same deal, really.

A shiver just went down my spine.

And then, she comments on how Dr. Tiller's murder was ... humane? What the fuck could possibly be called "humane" about being gunned down in the streets by a complete psychopathic nutjob?

And of course, ending in that delectable anti-abortionist rhetoric: "... tens of thousands of children that he mutilated and left to die in cuddle session bassinets." Again, I would first love to get the actual numbers, but seeing as they simply don't exist, it's rather difficult to make an estimate. Yet I doubt Dr. Tiller, or even the most proficient of abortionists, can wrack up "tens of thousands" of abortions in only a couple of decades. It's not exactly an assembly line of pregnancy terminations. And as for the the fetuses he "mutilated and left to die" ... Mutilated how? He just gets them out of the woman's womb, and I'm also really quite certain they're quite dead by then. Ending fetuses' livies does not mean he had to enjoy causing pain to them, you know.

I mean, think about it. Someone just shot a Nazi guard manning the gas chamber at Aushwitz. I should feel bad about this? George Tiller the Baby Killer's acts are every bit as vile as the Nazi war criminals who were hunted down, tried, and sentenced after they participated in the "legal" murder of the Jews that fell into their hands.

And now, equating the killing of a Nazi guard who deliberately murders hundreds, if not thousands, of innocents based on racism and hatred, to a doctor terminating unwanted or dangerous pregnancies. Yeah ... they're virtually interchangeable.

The lone wacko who gunned Tiller down was not associated with any single pro-life organization or group. He was working solo and his acts rest on his head alone. So why, exactly, are pro-lifers doing back flips to appease the abortion mongering moonbats that seek to elevate Tiller to martyrdom and sainthood?

Little Gingi, it doesn't matter whether the murderer was associated with any actual groups or organizations. He was ON YOUR SIDE. Period. He was an anti-abortionist, living along your views and morality. He just did what I'm certain you, and many others, would have loved to do if you had the nerve.

And why are anti-aborts trying to appease pro-choicers (according to you, anyway)? Um ... maybe because they feel the slightest twinge of guilt that one of their flock stepped out and commited such an evil act? Just a thought, even though thinking is something you, Gingi, are obviously inherently incapable of doing.

Over the years there have been multiple opportunities to peacefully and legally hold George Tiller accountable to his actions, thus shielding him from acts of extremism. An example would be his trial that took place in March of 2009. Being charged with 19 misdemeanors he got off scott-free through corrupt political ties and professional dishonesty. Again, had justice been served in that courtroom, Tiller would be alive today and serving a sentence behind bars.

So there it is: her saying it was Dr. Tiller's fault, saying he just needed to be thrown in jail for him not to be assassinated like he was. I really can't pull together any sort of rational logic that would explain her twisted reasoning, though maybe it's not meant to be explained. Perhaps it just can't.

And of course, claiming that he was cleared of the unfair and ridiculous charges (considering everything he'd done was legal) because of corruption. Yeah, she's not blinded by bias at all.

Is the pro-life position one of violence? Of course not. It is because we are so peaceful that lone acts of extremism immediately garner national attention. In the course of a 36 year genocide, only five abortionists have been killed. According to government statistics from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, for every abortionists killed, over thirty clergy members have been murdered. Where are the candlelight vigils and 24/7 news coverage for these victims of political violence?

Wow. Did she really just call the anti-abortion movent, "peaceful"? What's peaceful in gunning down "only" five abortionists, even in the relatively long timespan of 36 years? So, say – 20 or more would be violent, but only 5 is acceptable by her standards, then. What's peaceful in endlessly parading libel, slander, wretched lies and apathetic (and fundamentally disgusting) signs and ads portraying aborted fetuses? What's peaceful in the never-ending barrage of vandalism and destruction that's perpetually afflicted against abortion clinics, and abortionists' homes?

There is nothing about the anti-abortion position that can ever truly be called "peaceful". But, of course, that is what tends to happen when your motivation is fueled by overzealousness, religion, and mindless self-righteousness, which are evidently the founding core principals of the anti-abortion movement.

Even her response to the abortionists murdered concerning the clergymen that have been killed is flawed at a basic level. Okay, so clergymen were killed ... So were plumbers, architects and politicians. Care to post any sort of connection? (Not to mention that there are plenty of other reasons for which clergymen may be killed by extremists, than merely from the abortion debate.) Not that I'm saying their deaths aren't tragic or important – of course they are. I'm just pointing out their lack of relation to this topic at hand.

According to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, every day more than 80 Americans die from gun violence - many of these being senseless death with the victims innocent of any wrong-doing. And here we have a man who made a living peddling death, who reaped what he had been sowing for over 36 years at $5,000+ a pop. Does this honestly surprise anyone?

At least she's now toned down from equating Dr. Tiller to serial killers and rapists, to the senseless gun violence that plagues the US. Even though it's still a laughably ridiculous and meaningless comparison. What an abortionist doctor, and hooligans and criminals who shoot each other for gang wars or drugs or whatever, have to do with each other – takes someone like Gingi to see the relation, I guess.

Pro-lifers need to stop hyperventilating over the pro-aborts who are having aneurisms synthesizing mock outrage at Tiller's demise. We need, now more than ever, to keep things in proper perspective.

I assure you that I, for one, need not "synthesize mock outrage" over the vile act of Dr. Tiller's murder, and I'm fairly confident that most others who are shouting in anger over it aren't faking, either. But then, everything the other side does is fakery and fraudery when you're as hopelessly twisted and demented as the likes of Gingi Edmonds.

While it is imperative that we extend love and grace to the family of Tiller, we still cannot afford to lose sight of the fact that George Tiller was a mass murderer of the worst kind who made a living off of killing babies and harming women. Unless you are radically against capital punishment, those who view abortion as murder agree that the penalty for the crime of mass child slaughter is death. And although the method and means of his execution is deplorable, the ultimate outcome is not.

Ie. "Let's extend our blood-covered hands to the victims of our violent acts, rejoice in Dr. Tiller's death and that he's now burning in that imaginary inferno we believe in, while knowing (for ourselves) that the only possible punishment for abortionists is assassination, whether by gun or by court-ordered injection."

There is no doubt that Tiller deserved to be executed for his crimes. I just would have preferred a state sanctioned lethal injection, hanging, firing squad, electric chair, good old fashioned stoning, what have you.

Ie. "Who cares how the fuck the bastard is murdered, just as long as it's state-sanctioned. Do it as cruelly as you can, while you're at it."

The strange paradox of being a "pro-lifer"

Anti-abortionists (because "pro-lifers" is about as contradictory a label as it gets when applied to these asses) do like to bray about how us "pro-abortionists" are so vile and remorseless and immoral in our condoning of "baby-killing", "harming of women", and what have you. They just don't get the point that pro-choicers don't encourage women to terminate their pregnancies; we're merely fighting to give them the choice to decide, for themselves, whether they want to keep the fetus or not. That's what pro-"choice" is all about. (It's in the friggin' name, for Christ's sake.)

Yet, while they honk and scream and whine and cry their shriveled hearts out at the evils and inhumanity of pro-choicers and abortion-enablers, they do seem strangely blind and deaf to the many members of their own party who commit acts of such utter depravity and disgusting amorality that they themselves end up defining their entire "side" of the abortion debate. Murders, attacks, vandalism, libel and slander by the shitloads; the list goes on and on. I don't recall many pro-choicers going out of their way to harm anti-abortionists, or to say they should die (especially because "God says so"), or to vandalize their places of meeting or whatever. Not that I'm saying it's never happened – there are kooks and lunatics and extremists on any side of any debate, of course. I'm saying, it sure as shit isn't anywhere near as common.

Of course, this abortion debate has only been reignited anew recently by the well-publicized murder of prominent late-term abortion-enabler, Dr. George Tiller from Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Tiller, whom I'd already covered a few times as they tried to strip his medical license away (though thankfully reason shined through for once and he was cleared of all charges). He's helped scores desperate women with many late-term abortions, and was, in countless ways, infinitely more "pro-life" than the endless self-righteous kooks continually parading their irrational beliefs and corrupt values at the front doors of his clinic.

One of Dr. Tiller's most prominent critics throughout the years has been Randall Terry, the religious nutjob behind the anti-abortion campaign Operation Rescue. You know, the one who kicked his own son out of his house when he announced he was gay. Immediately following Dr. Tiller's horrible sudden murder, he quickly pulled together a press conference at which he proclaimed the following (imagine it with an endlessly smug and holier-than-thou face):

George Tiller was a mass-murderer. We grieve for him that he did not have time to properly prepare his soul to face God. I am more concerned that the Obama Administration will use Tiller's killing to intimidate pro-lifers into surrendering our most effective rhetoric and actions. Abortion is still murder. And we still must call abortion by its proper name; murder.

"Those men and women who slaughter the unborn are murderers according to the Law of God. We must continue to expose them in our communities and peacefully protest them at their offices and homes, and yes, even their churches.

What a disgusting fuck. (What more can be said?) This monster is far more concerned about public and governmental reactions to the murder and the anti-abortion movement, then about the fact that a good man who spent his life helping poor despairing women against unbelievable public pressure to cease and desist was murdered by one of his fellow anti-abortionists.

So, "pro-life" only means towards the unborn fetuses that would one day become babies. As for fully-formed adults getting murdered – who cares?

But of course, no horrific reactions would be complete without checking out the repugnant diatribe coming from the netherregions of Gingi Edmonds' mind, no? Just a hint: her entry's title is "George Tiller the baby-killer". Yeah, that pretty much says it all.

The vast majority of it is an ignorant screed jam-packed with misconceptions, unverified and uncited statistics, and of course the sort of diatribe you expect from insane lunatics like Edmonds. Alot of it is about her equating the murdering of Dr. Tiller to killing a Nazi or serial killers like Ted Bundy. Of course she doesn't understand – perhaps she's too stupid to – that the reason we should mourn Dr. Tiller's death and not theirs, is because he tried to do good while they intentionally hurt others, either out of greed and power, or for the sake of causing pain and death.

Another interesting part is how she described Dr. Tiller as making his life "killing babies and harming women". Interesting how she skips over the fact that the women came *TO HIM* for *HIS HELP*, which he gladly gave, for their health and well-being.

And need I even bother to point out that she does, of course, skip over the fact (though does she even know, I wonder?) that late-term abortions, like Dr. Tiller enabled, are only ever done in cases of medical emergencies where the woman's health is directly endangered by the pregnancy. But no – he "kills babies and harms women". Ignorant idiot.

But in the end, one who wonders if the likes of Gingi Edmonds should ever be taken seriously, need only look at some of her comments ... you know, like the following:

Terry Randall should die in a gutter, and Gingi Edmonds should end up in an asylum for the hopelessly deranged and twisted. And immoral, of course.

But at least, thank you, anti-abortionists, for once again showing your true colors to the world, and to the general public who by now already know what sort of pathetic excuse for human beings you pretend to be. You are an illustration of everything that's wrong with this world: immorality, inhumanity, condoning of murder and pain and sorrow when it fits your needs or beliefs and overall you are just a truest expression of how low a human being can sink to, especially when powered by religious zeal and blind, stupid and self-righteous hatred.

I may not be for killing or murdering, but I certainly have nothing against a good thumping to the likes of these two bloody monsters. They truly do bring out the worst in me.

Anti-abortionists have done it again

In a coup that I expect will warm the shriveled hearts of "pro-lifers" everywhere in the abortion debate, Dr. George Tiller, arguably the most prominent late-term abortion enabler in the U.S., a man I've already covered on this blog as anti-aborts were fighting to strip away his medical license because he happened to offend their overzealous self-righteous beliefs and values, was just shot dead on his way to the Sunday service outside a Wichita, Kansas church.

Authorities were called to the shooting at the Reformation Lutheran Church shortly after 10 a.m., where Tiller is a congregant, according to KAKE. Tiller was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after emergency crews arrived.

Tiller, who ran the Women's Health Care Services clinic, a high-profile abortion clinic in Wichita, was one of the few doctors in the country that still performed late-term abortions. Just this month, Tiller's clinic was vandalized, according to KAKE.

Dr. Tiller wasn't exactly appreciated by anti-aborts, and my did they like to show it. His clinic has been vandalized a number of times, and was even bombed once; another time, some deranged kook shot him in both arms. He certainly had experience in dealing with these wackjobs.

And now they've finally murdered him.

Well, congratulations, anti-abortionists. You've finally done it: you've assassinated the "head of the snake" in late-term abortion lingo, not only reaffirming your stance against abortion, but also confirming your reputation as being a murderous bunch of lunatic fucktards. Dr. Tiller is only the most prominent of all the other abortion-enabling doctors who've been murdered by your vile lot over the years. But, at least his murder will have prevented the deaths of innocent little babies, right?

Because apparently, dealing with your issues with violence and hatred is the only language you speak.

Here're some who think they matter a little more than they actually do ...

You've really got to revel at how some wingnut groups can take themselves so very seriously and think they're a rather lot bigger and more influential than they actually are. This seems to be the case in this delightfully hilarious WingNutDaily story, in which a group of anti-abortionists threatened to ... well, what basically amounted to throwing some mean names at the University of Notre Dame if they don't quickly rescind their invitation to President Obama to give their commencement speech.

A pro-life group warns it may issue the University of Notre Dame its "Collaborators" designation, reserved for the worst offenders in the war over abortion, because of the school's invitation to President Obama to speak at commencement.

The Collaborators Project said on its website: "For their plan to honor Barack Obama, the leading pro-abortion advocate in America, the Collaborators Project is considering designating Notre Dame with Permanent Collaborator Status (PCS). If the university does not rescind their Obama invitation to deliver their commencement address on Sunday, May 17, 2009, the CP will designate Notre Dame with PCS.

"This would be only the second time in its history that the Collaborators Project has issued such a designation. If this occurs, the Collaborators Project will ask Indiana and Michigan pro-lifers to add Notre Dame to their ongoing anti-abortion protest itinerary," the group said.

I don't even think "sticks and stones" is an appropriate phrase to use here. At least those could actually hurt if they hit you on the head. Apparently these wackjobs thought that being labeled "Collaborators" would've sent Notre Dame's faculty and staff shivering into submission until they took away Obama's invitation.

I don't think this "pro-life group" really realized that no University on the fucking planet is going to throw away a chance to have a major speech given by the freaking President of the United States just because some incredibly insignificant and idiotic group of crazies threatened to give them a label. Seriously.

"Young girls need to ask their mothers if they don't want kids" — Palin

Which is basically the message sent by the bloody stupid governor of Alaska and McCain's ex-running mate when she announced she'll promote a bill that would require underage girls to ask their parents for permission before requesting an abortion should they fall pregnant prematurely.

Sponsors of the ballot initiative applied last week to start gathering signatures. The measure would prohibit doctors from performing abortions for girls under 18 without notice or consent from at least one parent.

Palin backed a parental consent measure introduced in the Legislature this year, but the measure stalled. Supporters hope to get the consent measure on the ballot next year.

A Planned Parenthood official in Alaska, Clover Simon, says her organization opposes parental consent as potentially dangerous for teens looking to avoid facing their parents.

Ie. if you're a girl under 18 in Alaska and have an unwanted parasite growing in your uterus, you'd better pray your parents aren't anti-abortionist meddlers, or ... you're screwed.

Of course, it's inevitable this shitty law will be passed in a place like Alaska, and girls had better start praying they won't fall through the cracks of that 99.5% rate of success for pills and condoms.

Wouldn't you know it, a wackaloon Republican is screwing up civil rights. Why didn't I see that coming?
